Well i was going to reply to Mask's post on the shout box but by orders of the website maintainer i will post on the forum!!

Last night saw 14 of us turn up for training and we had a good game of 7 a side. I admit the great numbers we've been having recently has had a positive affect on the team, but the 3 team format is nowhere near as enjoyable or hard working as staying on the pitch for the full hour and half. I have actually woke up this morning with a few twinges in my legs which i havent felt for a long time.

Hope the numbers do continue to turn of course but i believe the full hour and half should be avaiable to all players and can only see the option of a bigger pitch. Light nights should be drawing in soon so hopefully can move onto grass in due course.

    Peace out

Not something that's ever happened during the season, at least whilst I've been playing for Smithfield.

I like the idea of it, and if the whole team cannot do it then maybe certain players can get together of their own accord. I'm thinking Birchenwood pitches, crossing/shots for me to practice with (like Sunday's goal against me - never thought about it but I never do any training above head height either Shaun) and nice high balls for you to deal with.

I agree with Shaunie regarding the 2 team format. It is always better and was superb last night until Conk went and Rob decided to do a runner with Niall's keys. (Nige - I hope you bollocked him at work today!)

I can see us having regular practice during the off season and Sundays when other teams catch us up.

Anyone fancy a knock at Birchenwood tomorrow morning then ?? (knowing footie is on in the afternoon)

Another thought is if anyone played well enought last night to force their ways into the Gaffers plans. Nige and Tone appeared to injure themselves, Sherm was like a bulldozer, Mask found a pair of shooting boots that I hope he does not lose, Damo was Damo and I thought me and Shaun were rocks at the back and displayed a brilliant attacking awareness as we scored nearly half out teams goals.

    Stanners and Shaun to start!!

I would love to play tomorrow morning, however I already have plans to paint the spare room and help Tim with some work for his new company logo!

Just a quick question while im eating my tea and cant type loads due to knife and fork demanding my full concentration. What does "Damo was Damo" mean?

I'll make a proper post later.

You have moved upto a knife AND fork now. Well done.

It means something like your "location" - Drifted around a bit to where needed and influenced the team.
