ian you and simon both good keepers . technically u are a better keeper part from ya kickin but u no and i no the amount of mistakes u make a game or every other game always gets highlighted cos your a keeper and it useally cost us a goal .....simon is a basic keeper with a massive kick but the thing is he doesnt make that many mistakes which cost us goals .... hope u see the point iam tryin to make dude ,, so u got a couple of weeks cos of simon knee to prove us your the man number 1 man

OfflineWinger / StrikerI've seen Simon play once so I can't really comment on how good a keeper he is.
But in the 1 game I have seen him play, he cost us two goals through basic errors.
1. Running into Chopper with no communication. (There first goal)
2. Came running out, changes his mind and stood in no-mans land, whilst the winger just dinked it easily into the net! (There second goal)

All I want to say on the matter is that I don't agree with this statement. A couple of seasons ago, yes. But not now.
If you look at the player ratings from last season you will see that there were not a lot of games where this statement holds true. There were a couple of games around Christmas (I'm thinking Saracens Head away) where it happened, but I tried very hard since the beginning of this calendar year to iron out silly mistakes and I think I have done that very well.
Based on the last five or six competitive games of last season I was the top rated player on the team and I did not make mistakes in any of these games. I have so far played only one competitive game this season.
I do not consider the second goal on Sunday to be a mistake of the type you are talking about. Yes it was me who was probably at fault for the goal, but there was a man on the post who could have got to the ball easier than I could, there was a man on the edge of the 6 yard box who could also have got there even easier than the man on the post, and I had to come from around the back of an opposition player who was stood in front of me as the corner was taken, who pushed me as I did that. In the end taking into account these factors I just wasn't able to get to the ball and collect it cleanly and the best I could hope for was to get my body in the way an send it out for another corner. All I succeeded in doing was deflecting it into the net.
It is easy to see that the ball went in the back of the net off my leg, but anyone who thinks it's as clear cut and simple as that is a fool.
