I have to inform the squad that Kevin " Giggsy" Jones will be going for a life saving operation on Monday to repair the severe damage to his Achilles.

Now only able to walk with the aid of crutches, Kevin choked back the tears as he spoke of the pain he faced knowing that he'll never score direct from a corner again. "I'll never score direct from a corner again" he said.

Our thoughts are with him at this terrible time.

By the way anyone want to buy a pair of size 9 boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes but Kev looks like him.

Seriously though gaffer, what's the damage? He's not having an operation is he???

He's hopefully having an operation on Monday to repair the damage. I spoke to him this morning, he's in plaster and on crutches

Latest news on the talented veteran.

Kev had his operation on Monday as 2 small incisions were made and his achilles stitched back together. He remains in plaster and has an appointment in 2 weeks to check on his progress. We wish him well.
