More new players on the way

    Another new signing at training on Thursday, 2 last week, it's obvious that the management are not prepared to carry any dead weight this season. This Sundays cup match away at Duke of York will see the Smithfield squad missing Cobby, Nick, Mark, Pudsey and Richie. The worrying thing for some players will not be the fact that we are without those 5 star players, but the fact that there will be 5 subs still on the bench. Failure is not an option this year and Manager Plant has flown out to Porto, to meet with an out of work coach, and offer him a scouting position to strenghthen further Smithfields grip on all 3 trophies in this season.

    Can only be a good thing for Smithfield. Let's hope these new players are happy to turn out in rain, snow and cold during the winter!!!

    Three cups this year? Seems the Smithfield might be aiming for the stars this year; we can take the double if we fall short }:-)
