    It's the 3rd Edition of The Smithfield FC Pub Quiz on Sunday!

    There was a great turn out last time, but we can do even better this Sunday.

    Who is going to be there?

    The first two quizzes raised nearly £150 for the club, and if we keep things up we may be able to afford some new nets and training equipment soon!

    Can the Stanway family reclaim their crown now that Stanners is back? Will the battle between Planty's Tash & The Four C's be close again? Will the music round ever again be as good as the one in the last quiz? Will Ian have to shout to make himself heard?

    Come along to the Smithfield Bar & Restaurant in Hanley before 7:00pm on Sunday the 18th November to find out!!!

    Full details:


    • Date - Sunday 18th November 2007.
    • Time - 7:00pm onwards
    • Venue - The Smithfield bar area
    • Cost - £1.00 per team member
    • Prize - £££


    So why not get together a few friends and join us at The Smithfield for what's sure to be a great and successful night?

    There will also be football scratchcards to make us a little extra cash, and a raffle with a meal for 2 at The Smithfield as the winning prize, plus some other kindly donated prizes.

    Hopefully we'll have a minimum of 5-6 teams and ideally 7-8 teams - the more the merrier!

    Great turn out on Sunday night, well done to all those that came. It's great to see the real family atmosphere we've got within the club now.

    Thanks to Ian again for putting together a great quiz and all those who helped out selling raffle tickets and football cards. It was a great effort and has raised a lot of money for the club, which we will hopefully be able to put back into better equipment soon which will benefit us all.

    Well done guys and bring on the December edition!

    Superb quiz night on Sunday, great atmosphere, and all but 2 players from Sundays squad turned up. Well done Ian another brilliant job raising £109 for the club. the only downers of the night were the food and losing to that Tashy mastermind again. Roll on Decembers quiz nite, Come on you Goonies

    I think we should declare me the winner right now and call it off! No one has come close to my team (all 20 of us )

    Thanks to Ian for the hard work he put in Sunday Afternoon in preparing the quiz.

    £110 from the Quiz, £34 from last Sunday's match plus the already bursting kitty must mean we are in a position to think about spending a little on the team.
